BIO: Osama El-Hassan, B.Sc., M.Sc., D.I.C.,Ph.D.

Dr. Osama Elhassan is the Vice President of UAE Health Informatics Society and a co-founder & the coordinator of the GCC Taskforce on Workforce Development in Digital Healthcare (ZIMAM). He is an elected member of several regional and international boards such as the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfteH), the Middle East and North Africa Health Informatics Society and the Roaster of Healthcare IT Experts at World Health Organization. He contributes to academia through his adjunct lecturer role at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in the UAE. He also serves as a Health Informatics specialist at Dubai Health Authority.
Dr Elhassan obtained a PhD in Software Engineering from University of Leicester and an MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College in UK. Throughout his 15 years journey within the healthcare domain, Dr Elhassan gained substantial experience in Health Informatics, eHealth workforce development, Health Information Governance and Tele-Health.

Dr. Razouki has over 15 years of experience in venture capital and private equity investment with a focus on healthcare and technology, shifting from an excellence in clinical practice and research to the management and financing of healthcare and education systems. David Metcalf has more than 20 years' experience in the design and research of web-based and mobile technologies converging to enable learning and healthcare. Dr. Metcalf is Director of the Mixed Emerging Technology Integration Lab (METIL) at UCF's Institute for Simulation and Training. The team has built mHealth solutions, simulations, games, eLearning, mobile and enterprise IT systems for Google, J&J, VA, U.S. military and UCF's College of Medicine among others. Recent projects include Lake Nona’s Intelligent Home and transmedia, adaptive learning projects using mobile, AR and sims. Dr. Metcalf encourages spinoffs from the lab as part of the innovation process and has launched Merging Traffic and several other for-profit and nonprofit ventures as examples. In addition to research and commercial investments, he supports social entrepreneurship in education and health. Simulation, mobilization, mobile patient records and medical decision support systems, visualization systems, scalability models, secure mobile data communications, gaming, innovation management and operational excellence are current research topics. Samantha Nazareth, MD, FACG is a practicing gastroenterologist, received a medical degree from Brown University and trained at both Cornell and Columbia. She serves as Chief Medical Officer of metaMe and advises early-stage startups in the healthtech space.

Rama is an entrepreneur who is passionate about developing solutions to accelerate clinical trials/healthcare He is currently the CEO/Founder of an innovative Clinical Trials Management and Finance company in NJ, USA and has been a speaker at many leading Blockchain/Clinical Trials conferences in the world. He also is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Fairleigh Dickenson Univ. NJ, where he initiated the first course on Blockchains for MBAs in 2019. Eng. Ali Shehab has 15 years of healthcare technology procurement and implementation. He has executed several healthcare projects by providing the technical specification and planning for the OR and ICU equipment to Ministry of Health Hospitals as well as private hospitals. He was appointed by Prime Minister Office in 2011 to participate in the early warning system healthcare committee team to predict the forthcoming epidemics in Kuwait and providing the technology to prevent it.
